CAPTURE MAJORITY SEATS OF CONGRESS AND THE WHITE HOUSE
If Mitt Romney wins in November, he will continue the failed policy of the Bush/Chenney administration. We will have another economic melt down, this time, to finish off the middle-income Americans. The CEO's of corporations that poured so much money to his campaign will triple their income now while they will lower the minimum wage law for workers. There will be more poor Americans who will be willing to tend their yards and homes, work for them as their servants and maids just like in the Philippines and thus, discourage the Mexicans from coming here. That will be the day when Mexican immigrants can truly compete for American jobs.
If Republicans capture the majority seats in both the Senate and House, they will deregulate banks and financial institutions and we will be back again to the same situation before the housing market collapse. There will be more tax loopholes and corporation welfare, subsidizing and bailing out failed corporations to save their stock portfolios. They will limit the quota of foreigners who can enter the country as immigrants because this party’s platform is anti-immigrants.
They will conduct less 'oversight' hearing for the members of the senate and congress to prevent corruption. They can then engage in inside trading, capturing the most lucrative stock market. Senators and congressmen can sit in corporation boards, working for private businesses rather than the government, which is us, the people. Conflict of interest will no longer become a part of their qualifying test. They will work for the guys who gave them money to win election, not for the people.
They will dismantle the Federal government by laying off more federal employees, outlaw the unions so the workers cannot negotiate to increase their salaries and secure safe working environment. Through attrition, they will no longer hire new food inspectors, new firemen, new policemen, new teachers, and new public health workers. Government services will be cut to the bone. If your house gets on fire...too bad, you are on your own. If any of your family got poisoned from buying tainted meat, too bad. It’s your luck. You are on your own. The government has been cut to the bone and can no longer serve or protect you.
You can no longer complain if the water you are drinking is contaminated, the air you are breathing is causing you asthma, and cars’ level of carbon monoxide emission return to its previous level, before Democrat fought to lessen their level safe for humans. The government run by the Republicans do not intend to help you. Energy corporations will get on whatever and wherever they can make profit. And there will be nobody in the government who will run and regulate them.
The cost of insurance will rocket to the roof, leaving only those with higher salaries to afford to buy their health insurance. If a poor man gets sick, he can go to the emergency room of a hospital but they'll just lie there and die there....because they have no insurance and the government does not have enough funds to support them.
Public schools will be allowed to deteriorate and only the poor, the physically disabled, those low functioning students coming from poor homes will go to public schools. Private schools will become a lucrative source of profit for Americans with capital to start them and with selected students with voucher to attend in their school if they are poor. Only the rich can afford to send their children to quality schools that can pay qualified teachers. The public schools here will be just like in the Philippines, mediocre, existing for the poor.
Family planning and prenatal care and care for newly born babies will no longer be available hence, USA will become one of the countries with high rate of infant mortality, with both mothers and babies dying either before the babies are born or during labor. Yes, women who could not afford to have babies anymore will continue to get pregnant. Some would just let their situation deteriorate because they cannot afford to see a doctor or go to the hospital. Many will just die quietly as a result of bad pregnancies and difficult labor. The rate of indiscriminate death of mothers and babies will increase than when women are free to make their own decision to continue or discontinue their pregnancies.
Few can afford to continue on to college. Only the children of the well-off families can afford to go to college. This will help increase the number of young Americans who will not get any education higher than high school. Most of them will try to find jobs to help support their families as roofers, painters, plumbers, air condition men, electrician, cashier, gasoline attendant, and sales clerk. For the ones who are unable to find work will mug people, invade homes, and steal to get by. But they can do it since only few policemen will be hired to keep peace and order in many communities. If someone invade your house…you will be on your own. There won’t be enough policemen to help you.
Do I need to go on? The Catholic Nuns are going around to warn against the Paul Ryan budget plan, the darling of the Republican congress. If Romney will win, as I said, he will continue the failed policy of the Republican party. Just a ‘mumu’ will be allowed to trickle down from the top. Pension and medicare will be privatized and for those who are not in it, too bad for you. Postal service will be privatized and so is the prison system.
Because Conservatives are myopic, they are led to believe that they are not part of “the people”, the government, and the public. We are the people, whether we are rich or poor because we all vote. But we can be controlled by the few. If Romney will win, our voices will be stifled and we will become disempowered. Their union busting activities and vote-repression bills are just two of the ways they are destroying our freedom in this democracy.
